In partnership with Fitzroy North Doctors, we operate as a mixed billing practice. Our transparent billing structure supports our commitment to delivering expert skin cancer checks, mole mapping, treatments, and procedures with the highest standards of care.

Billing Information (Effective January 1, 2025)

Below are the indicative fees for our skin cancer services, effective from January 1, 2025. All prices include GST, and Medicare rebates are applied where applicable to reduce out-of-pocket costs.

  • Skin Checks: All consultations and procedures have an out-of-pocket expense. Your doctor will discuss any additional fees for biopsies or procedures during your visit.

  • Excision Fees: Vary based on the complexity and size of the lesion. Your doctor will provide a detailed quote during consultation.

  • Facility Fee: A separate fee applies for procedures in our Treatment Room to cover nursing and medical care. This fee is not eligible for Medicare rebates.

  • Additional Costs: Medical dressings or supplies used during procedures may incur extra charges.

  • Payment Due: Full payment is required on the day of service. We accept cash, EFTPOS, and debit/credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). We do not accept Diners Club, cheques, or direct bank transfers. Phone payments are accepted via credit card at (03) 9020 1448.

  • Medicare Rebates: We offer electronic processing of Medicare rebates, with payments transferred to your bank account within 24 hours. Please register with Medicare before your appointment. Our reception staff can assist with any questions.

  • Cancellation Policy: To accommodate all patients, we require at least 2 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to appointments. A $45 fee applies for no-shows or cancellations with less than 2 hours’ notice (effective January 1, 2025).

  • Additional Costs: Out-of-pocket costs for diagnostic tests or specialist referrals may vary. Your doctor will provide guidance on these expenses during your consultation.

    • Affordable Access: Bulk billing for eligible patients ensures accessible services for skin checks and treatments.
